SO SAD

This story is so sad. I used to work with Laura, the child's mother, at the clinic in Bridgeport. Nice family. Apparently, there were a couple of children playing between parked cars in their apartment complex when Jacob backed into the driving lane. A car came around the corner too fast and didn't stop in time. Poor guy has major head trauma. My prayers go out to Jacob and Laura and the rest of their family.

To write or not to write?

I had this really vivid dream last night and I am kinda torn about something. I have always wanted to be an author. No matter what I chose to do in life, I always knew that I would want to be writing, as well. I can, however, honestly say, that I have never imagined myself writing a suspense or thriller type story. It is so not my strong point; I usually don't even choose to go see those kind of movies. But...my dream was so real and it almost told the whole story itself. That being said, I think it would make a really good story. Remembering my dream seems so much like watching a trailer for a great new movie. I want to see the rest of the story. I just question whether or not I have the talent in the thriller/suspense department to fill in the holes with good quality, interesting story. What to do? What to do?

LISTEN TO THIS

Here is Adam Lambert's version of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I absolutely love this guy. And the story by Lindsay Parker of Reality Rocks has said it best. (link below) Adam Lamber is my favorite contestant in IDOL history!!!! I haven't watched every season, but this guy caught my eye this year. I encourage everyone I see, talk to, blog with, etc, to vote for Adam. My favorite performance yet: his version of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire. OMG!!! It was hot. I guess you could say I am officially on TEAM ADAM!!!

IF U MISS YOUR COLLEGE DAYS OR HAVE EVER WANTED TO TAKE A LITERATURE CLASS....

Listen to this guy. This is my American Literature professor for the online class that I am enrolled in. If you thought taking an online class got you out of those lectures...think again. Here in the land of youtube, your teachers can now follow you home.

More music.....

One thing to know about me is that I LOVE MUSIC. I like to sing (even though I can't). Here's another song I absolutely love. I actually like this version better than Kanye's. It's a cover of Heartless by The Fray.

This might be one of my new favorite songs...what do u think?

Sorry, I can't embed the video...but here's the link.

Open mouth...Insert foot.

I guess the President is probably still chewing on his toes this morning after his appearance on Leno a couple of nights ago. I would hate to be in a situation like that where I might say something that accidentally offended someone. Oh wait.....I have been there. I'm almost positive that everyone has been there at one point in their lives. We are human and we all make mistakes. If you truly have reason to be offended, then by all means be offended and get over it. If you are only showing your mock offense because you think that is what society expects you to do....then please, stop being so judgemental of someone who made a mistake that you probably make everyday and don't even realize it.

I couldn't keep my mouth shut any longer!

For a while now, I have been telling my friends and family that I was thinking about starting a blog. They know me to be very opinionated and passionate about certain things in our world today. Some of my opinions are not popular and let it be known that I might offend you, the reader, at least once in my lifetime. I'd like to say I didn't mean to offend, but in truth, if I said, I meant it. I ask only that you keep an open mind. I will start posting soon, so check back often. Enjoy.
