I kinda have a problem with American families adopting outside of the US. I am completely in favor of adoption if you have the means and the extra love to go around. I have always thought of myself as someone who would love to adopt a child at one point or another in my life. And if and when I do, it will be from within the United States. I wonder why so many people like Angelina Jolie and Madonna go to other countries to adopt children when there are so many children in the US that could benefit from that generosity. I will never be angry with the fact that people have chosen to adopt, because that is an act of love that can't be duplicated. However, I just think people could do more good here in their own backyard, as well. I could list all kinds of statistics and numbers, but if you've lived in the US for any amount of time, you know the problem that's here. I don't know...maybe i'm missing something here, but I just had to say that.
