WTF????

I have to say that I am completely disappointed in the Dallas Police Department. But not for the reason you may think. When I first decided to write this I thought that maybe the young officer could have been a little more understanding. THEN, I watched the dash cam video. I take it back. Kudos Officer Powell for doing your job. That man took and oath to uphold the law and although I may be alone, I believe that he did his job. I have to ask, would this have gotten the publicity it did if it had not involved an NFL player? Then I ask, could this have been avoided? Yes! Had the driver pulled over for the officer when he first put on his lights, chances are the officer might have even given them escort to the hospital. Now maybe I missed the part of driver's ed that says if you turn your flashers on, you can run red lights and stop signs and you don't have to stop for any police officer's that might not know why you're hauling through. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I missed that day. I don't feel that the officer did anything other that what his job entails. Who is this guy that he expects special treatment? My heart goes out to Moats and his family for their loss. I would never want to be in that situation.....BUT....next time, think about it. There is probably a better way.
