I lived in Bridgeport for the better part of my life and this has to be one of worst things I have ever seen happen in my small hometown. Sgt. Randy White was killed yesterday in a police chase that ended in Bridgeport at the intersection of HWY 114 and FM 2123. DPS officers chased Stephen York from Decatur due to a hit and run he was involved in. York rammed Sgt. White's car (I believe it was purposely) which caused White's car to ram a large flat bed trailer that he had pulled over in a traffic stop. My heart goes out to Sgt. White's family. You are in my prayers.
